Fun things to do for all the family - August 8th - 14th

There's a host of things for all ages to enjoy in the South Hams this August, and Stoke Lodge is the ideal base from which to Explore, Experience and Enjoy them - and then relax in comfort at the end of the day!

Come for an evening stroll around Cockington Country Park looking for signs of wildlife, listening for bird calls and hopefully catching a glimpse of some of Cockington's wild residents

August 11th 7.30 - 10.30pm - 'Dartmouth Films' by Ian Phillips 
2014 was the 70th anniversary of the D Day landings, and as part of the celebrations The Flavel Arts Centre and Cinema is offering another chance to see this film featuring local people, produced by Ian Phillips.

August 12th - 14th - Torbay Lifeboat Weekend 
Torbay Lifeboat Station based in Brixham close to the famous Breakwater becomes the centre of a series of events planned by the local volunteers and sponsors for the whole family.

 August 13th and 14th 2.00 - 5.00 - Open Gardens at Higher Ash Farm
A chance to visit a beautiful 2.5 acre garden which has been extensively developed in the last few years, with a large kitchen garden, pond and bog garden, orchard, herbaceous borders and a variety of shrubs and trees.

August 13th 9.00 - 6.00 - Dittisham Regatta 
A fun filled event for all the family, welcoming visitors and locals alike both on and off the water.

August 13th 9.00 - 1.00 - Dartmouth Farmers' Market - ends December 10th
Local produce for local people from a local source. 
The Farmers' Market is held in Dartmouth's Market Square every second Saturday in the month.






 August 14th 10.30 - 2.30 - Family Forage Day
Come and enjoy the wild abundance of the Sharpham Estate with your children, where you'll discover what the season has to offer and pick some wild plants to take back to the sheltered outdoor kitchen for a fun cook up!
